The house that will host us

The house hosting the meeting is about 3 km from the Fátima Sanctuary (Cova da Iria), at the roundabout that connects this town to Torres Novas and Minde.

The house is located in a very quiet area, with and easy access to the centre of Fátima, and to the towns of Minde and Torres Novas. Outside the house, there is a large garden, with native stones and plants.

Outsite, there is also a good parking lot, as seen in the pictures above:

Inside, anyone can access all the floors and rooms, using stairs, elevator or ramp.

There are several rooms with different dimensions, for different uses, giving enough space, functionality and security to our meeting.

For example, the video projections room:

There is also a lot of space in covered terraces:

And uncovered:

There is a bar and dinning rooms in the house, so the meals will be served there.

The rooms, mostly double rooms, give enough confort, with good light and very clean. .

Bathrooms and toillets are prepared for handicapped persons:

“Francisco and Jacinta Marto Centre”

This house is a “spiritual centre” to welcome groups who wish to take part in meditation, retreats, spiritual meetings, congresses, cinema and pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Fatima.
This centre has 130 beds, nearly all rooms with 2 beds (some single rooms and others with 3 beds). All rooms have private bathroom (adapted for the disabled).
Its structure, suitable to welcome various groups with different needs simultaneously, offers chapels of different sizes and rooms for different numbers (from 15 to 150 places), a projection room, refectory, terraces and balconies, a car park and a big garden.
The host community wishes to share the housework with the guests: in room cleaning and at the meals.
This is because you are staying in a family establishment and not a commercial hotel.
Besides that, for personal communication with God, the community invites you to appreciate the silence offered by the atmosphere where the Centre is located (3km from the Sanctuary at Cova da Iria): an atmosphere that reminds that reminds us of the young shepherds´ lives, to whom the centre is dedicated.
You can take away with you a great experience of peace, besides the wonderful feeling of having been to Fatima, the “Home of St Mary” or the “Altar of the World”, as it was described by Pope John Paul II.
